The Equals era formado por Eddy Grant, Derv Gordon, Lincoln Gordon e Pat Lloyd. A banda explodiu com Baby Come Back, uma mistura de rock’n’roll e beat com aquele riff apaixonante, mas também possui um grande legado incluindo uma coleção de singles e alguns discos esbanjando R&B com muito pop, garage rock, psicodelia, funk, ska e uma pegada só deles, que desfilaram a partir da metade dos 60’s.
